FIELD: technique of using super high frequency energy for industrial purposes, particularly to modes of drying wood lumber with super high frequency energy, may be used in woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: method of drying round lumber with super high frequency energy consists in feeding into a processing chamber with lumber lying in it of locally directed electromagnetic super high frequency waves. Differing is in that main electromagnetic waves of inferior order E01, formed in circular waveguide, are used. Local direction of supplying of named waves is made from opposite butt-ends of processing round lumber and processing is made at wave length (λ) of super high frequency source with corresponding ratio: 0,4<d/λ< 0,8, where: D - diameter of processed round lumber, cm; λ - wave length of superhigh frequency source, cm.
EFFECT: provides effective thermal treatment of round lumber out of dependence of their starting dampness along cross-sections under lower power inputs.
