FIELD: iron and steel industry; methods of running of an oxygen converter smelt.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of iron and steel industry, in particular, to the method of a steel smelting practice in a LD converter with blowing the metal from above. The technical result is an increase of a degree of a desulphurization and a dephosphorization at simultaneous reduction of a metal and a slag oxidability and consumption of ferroalloys, improved lining resistance. The method of a converter smelt running includes on a molten bath lancing from above through a water-cooled tuyere and the following substitution of oxygen by a indifferent gas. The indifferent gas is fed during 2-4 minutes with specific consumption of 2.75-3.0 m3/t per a minute at the operating position of the tuyere corresponding to 0.3-0.4 of distance from the level of a quiet molten bath up to the furnace (converter) mouth.
EFFECT: the invention ensures an increased degree of a desulphurization and a dephosphorization, the furnace lining service life, reduction of a metal and a slag oxidability and consumption of ferroalloys.
