FIELD: engineering of devices for detecting ionizing radiation, namely, structure of detecting unit for producing distribution of intensiveness of received ionizing radiation on spatial or angular coordinate.
SUBSTANCE: in most common variant of structural realization, ionizing radiation detecting unit contains position-sensitive detector, having working window for receiving ionizing radiation quanta, and slit structure made of material impenetrable for ionizing radiation, positioned in front of working window of position-sensitive detector and having slits, orthogonal to axial line of working window of position-sensitive detector. Distance between middles of neighboring slits of slit structure is not less than linear resolution interval of position-sensitive detector, and slit width is less than that interval, also, aforementioned ionizing radiation detecting unit contains means for controlled movement of slit structure relatively to position-sensitive detector with preservation of orthogonal property of slit structure slits and axial line of position-sensitive detector window.
EFFECT: increased resolution of ionizing radiation detecting unit.
