FIELD: cleaning gases.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises causing the gases to flow through slot nozzles and the zone of barrier discharge, filling the gas flow with unipolar negative charge, generating anisotropic turbulence of charged clusters, and settling aerosol in the electric pole of alternative voltage. The device comprises housing, gas distributing grate, shaped members that define slot nozzles at the entrance to the operation zone and connected with the adjacent settling electrodes to the opposite leads of the source of alternating current of high voltage, ionizer, and the system of plate flat-parallel settling electrodes coated with a dielectric material and arranged downstream at a distance one from the other.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
