FIELD: composition and method for putting-off human's appetite.
SUBSTANCE: liquid food composition contains 0.01-5 wt% of pectin and/or alginate, and 0.01-3 wt% of calcium. Composition has pH value exceeding 5, viscosity below 50 mPas at shear rate of 100 c-1 and temperature of 20 C, and viscosity of at least 12% of above value with pH value of 3 and temperature of 37 C. Caloricity of composition is 0-500 kkal/l. Method for putting-off human's appetite involves introducing liquid food composition, and is adapted for treating or preventing human from excessive weight.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in putting-off human's appetite and improved refreshing effect of liquid food composition.
