SUBSTANCE: invention concerns instrumental engineering and can be applied in plant irradiation. The lighting device includes a light source screened with a deflector. The light source itself includes a burner and an external bulb, start-control device and radiation redistribution device. The reflector in the vertical plane of lamp longitudinal axis has round form of radius R, 3.4 to 8.2 lamp bulb length (Lb) long. The distance lc between the reflector and the bulb centre in its upper part is 0.033 to 0.038 bulb length Lb. The reflector overlaps the lamp bowl for the distance L+ of 0.105 to 0.122 bulb length Lb.
EFFECT: improved reliability.
