FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of machine building, namely, to electromechanical processing of parts surface. Current pulses are passed in the place of tool roller contact with part to provide heating of protruding combs of part surface. Tool is pressed on protruding combs of part surface with provision of their deformation, smoothing and strengthening of surface layer of part metal. Current pulses are passed at densities of pulses energy of 700-3000 J/mm2 with creation of discretely located strengthened points on part surface. Density of strengthened points location on part surface is within the range of 60-80% from the whole strengthened surface of part.
EFFECT: service life of processed parts is increased, as well as roller useful life.
