INTRAOCULAR LENS FOR HIGH MYOPIA CORRECTION Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61F2/14

Abstract RU 2366383 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns ophthalmology. A solid intraocular lens (IOL) contains an optical part as a negative lens and diametrical bearing supports deflected to back surface of the optical part and indented. On front surface out of circumference of the optical part and concentrically thereto, the IOL comprises a transitive region as a round roll accommodating on its internal side 4 to 10 equispaced bean-shaped holes. The longer sides of the holes are concentric to the optical part. The bearing supports are identical and symmetric with respect to the longitudinal and transverse axes. Each bearing support is made as a curvilinear figure with its end surface being easily bent in the middle. Then it extends to the first indents side face of which are concentric to the optical part. The face edges comprise drop-shaped nodes turned backwards. Lateral side of each bearing support from each side is executed as a number of mutually running surfaces starting from the lateral side of the first indent extended into the first concavity then extended into the second indent of the curvilinear form smaller than the first one. Then the second indent runs to the second concavity of smaller depth, than the first concavity then extends to an arc being concentric to the optical part and interconnecting two bearing supports within the transitive region. Each bearing support from each side is provided with two holes, greater of which is formed in the first indent and contoured therefrom, and smaller being bean-shaped is provided in the second indent. Longer sides of this hole are concentric to the optical part; back surface of the IOL is of variable curvature.

EFFECT: invention provides reduced risk of development of cataract, various secondary glaucoma, and inflammatory and dystrophic complications.
