FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and aims at determination of intraocular formation volume. Ultrasonic three-dimensional digital tomography is performed. A scanning plane is perpendicular to the axis passing through the formation centre. The scanning plane angle is changed to receive a sharp image of the formation of maximum area. The borders of this image are adjusted with using colour energy mapping. A virtual three-dimensional image of the formation is formed by spatial rotation of rotary step 6 degrees; then its volume is to be determined.
EFFECT: method allows receiving the greatest information and reliable data on intraocular formation volume, adequately choosing the therapeutic approach and thereby improving effectiveness of the same treatment.
