SUBSTANCE: invention relates to imaging. The system has an image forming unit, with a field of vision which corresponds to the image zone of a first given width on the perimetre of the surface of a moving bar in order to form an image band, a unit of linear illumination sources, meant for projecting linear illumination bands with a second given width, onto the surface of the bar, where the unit of linear illumination sources is additionally setup such that, light intensity is essentially uniform along the image band. The system includes a removable cassette or protective device, as well as a computer.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining images of long objects.
