FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. An artificial vertebral body implanted between two adjacent intervertebral disks contains a superior section and an inferior section. Each of the superior and inferior sections has a superior surface and an inferior surface and lateral sides. The superior surface of said inferior section contacts and forced coupled with the inferior surface of said superior section. The superior surface of said superior section and the inferior surface of said inferior section contains at least one first coupling means for coupling with adjacent vertebral structures. The inferior surface of said superior section is generally concave, and the superior surface of said inferior section is joined with the concave inferior surface of the superior section.
EFFECT: invention provides preventing premature degeneration of vertebral joints above and below a union point.
