FIELD: process technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy, particularly a slide gate for an outlet opening of a ladle or an intermediate pouring vessel. The gate comprises a plate (2) and receiving metal case (1) for the plate (2) accommodating two retentive elements (3), a movable block (6) and a clamp. Each of two retentive elements (3) has vertical (31) and lateral (32) clamping surfaces which are in contact to side surfaces of the plate (2). The clamp holds the movable block (6) down to the plate. The angle of the vertical clamping surface (31) and the longitudinal central axis of the receiving metal case (1) for the plate is equal to 60-90°, while the angle of the lateral clamping surface (32) and the longitudinal central axis of the receiving metal case (1) for the plate is equal to 1-30°.
EFFECT: prevented cracks formation around the pouring opening that extends the service life of the plate.
