SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the vehicles electrical traction systems. Locomotive electric transmission control method consists in the fact that the thermal engine rotation frequency is set, position of fuel feed metering rack of fuel engine regulator of rotation speed and load of thermal engine, position of the rail of the fuel feed dosing unit is set to the specified rotation frequency of the heat engine and the predetermined position of the rail of the fuel metering device is compared with the measured position of the rack of the dosing member. Magnitude of their mismatch is integrated over time and is taken as the voltage setting value of the traction alternator. Voltages and load currents of each traction motor are measured to calculate power values and derivative power of each traction motor. At positive sign of mismatch of preset and measured position of fuel feed metering device rack and negative sign of derivative power of traction motor value of derived power of traction motor is normalized and according to obtained result value of voltage setting of traction motor corresponding to this traction motor is corrected.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability of locomotive.
