FIELD: transportation; machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical traction systems of vehicles. Method for regulating the electric transmission of a locomotive is proposed. Rotational shaft speed of the heat engine is set, which drives the traction generator of direct current. Position of the fuel delivery metering device of the heat engine speed controller is measured, corresponding to the current value of the engine shaft speed. Position of the fuel delivery metering device is set in proportion to the set speed, it is compared with the measured position of the fuel delivery metering device, the magnitude of their misalignment is integrated over time and the integration result is taken as the voltage setting value of the traction generator. Tension of the traction generator is measured, compared with the value of the set point and the excitation current of the traction generator is changed by the magnitude of the misalignment. Set value of the locomotive speed is set, the actual value of the locomotive speed is measured, the amount of their misalignment is integrated. Set value of the heat engine speed shaft is corrected in proportion to the integral of the misalignment of the set and actual speed of the locomotive.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to increase fuel economy of locomotives.
