FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing adamantyl-containing phenol derivatives of general formula , where R1=R2=R3=Ad, (I); R1=R3=Ad, R2=CH3 (II); R1=R2=Ad, R3=CH3 (III); R1=OH, R2=R3=Ad (IV), which can be used as antioxidants of organic systems, for inhibiting thermopolymerisation in production of olefin hydrocarbons, as well as starting compounds for producing monomers of epoxy resins. The method involves reaction of adamantane derivatives 1-adamantanol and 1-bromadamantane) with an aromatic compound selected from phenol, o-, p-cresol and pyrocatechol, at temperature 180-200°C for 15 hours. The adamantane derivatives used are a mixture of 1-adamantanol and 1-bromadamantane, which are taken in ratio of 1:(0.05-0.15), wherein phenol is mixed with the adamantane derivatives in molar ratio of 1:(3.10-3.25), and o-, p-cresol and pyrocatechol are mixed with adamantane derivatives in molar ratio of 1:(2.05-2.15).
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain end products using a simple method.
