FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing diadamantyl-containing derivatives of 4-phenol halides of general formula , where R1=R3=Ad, R2=Br (I); R1=R3=Ad, R2=Cl (II); R1=R3=Ad, R2=F (III), which can be used as intermediate products for synthesis of biologically active substances, antioxidants and antipolymerisation agents. The method involves reaction of an adamantane derivative with phenol in molar ratio of (2.05-2.15):1, at temperature 200-220°C for 12-18 hours. The adamantane derivative used is a mixture of 1-adamantanol and 1-bromadamantane in molar ratio 1:0.05-0.15, and the phenol used phenol halide selected from 4-bromophenol, 4-chlorophenol, 4-fluorophenol.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain end products using a simple and environmentally friendly method.
