FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: frequency converter may optionally contain a braking chain. Included into the frequency converter scheme are low current rectifying diodes forming (together with the power rectifying bridge) the storage capacitor charge circuit, such capacitor charge current limited by the charge resistor.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and reliability of the static frequency converter by way of simplification of the device design, installation and operation, reduction of the item weight, overall dimensions and cost, the device being sufficiently versatile.
