FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: circuit of electric converter is supplemented with relays and new connections that allow using a brake resistor as a limiting charging resistor. Rectification of the capacitor charging current is implemented with single-phase full-wave rectifier arranged artificially that consists of two protective diodes of the brake module and two diodes of the rectifier bridge.
EFFECT: increasing efficiency and reliability by means of simplification for frequency converter, easy manufacturing, installation and operation, decreasing weight, dimensions and costs of the device; the device acquires sufficient degree of universality that allows functional combination in one device of storage capacitor charging circuit and braking energy dissipation circuit of two-link electric converter.
