FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and power electronics, in particular to static electrical frequency converters with double conversion of electrical energy. The technical result is achieved by the fact that a circuit breaker and an additional charging resistor are added to the circuit of the electric frequency converter, as well as new connections that allow the control system to be powered from the DC link of the power circuit of the frequency converter. The charging current of the storage capacitor is limited by means of two charging resistors, and the charging current of the storage capacitor is rectified using an artificially organized single-phase full-wave rectifier. Switching on and off of the frequency converter is possible both in manual mode and in remote mode from the upper level system. With a minimum number of elements, the electrical safety of the operating personnel and the reliability of the frequency converter are increased, efficiency is increased, weight, dimensions are reduced, and the functionality of the frequency converter is significantly improved.
EFFECT: proposed frequency converter makes it possible to increase the safety of the device during operation, simplify the design of the device, simplify installation and operation, reduce weight, dimensions and cost, and also ensures both manual and remote start and shutdown of the frequency converter by a command from the upper-level system, increases reliability and efficiency of the device during its operation.
