FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and power electronics, in particular to static electric energy converters, built as per scheme of two-link frequency converters. Technical result is achieved by adding new connections and a new element, an additional power supply, into the electrical converter circuit. New connections and additional element make it possible to simplify circuitry of power part of frequency converter, and also to considerably increase reliability of its operation and to protect the frequency converter from possible emergency situations. Restriction of charging current of storage capacitor is carried out by means of charging resistor, and rectification of charging current of storage capacitor is performed by means of artificially organized single-phase double-wave rectifier. With a minimum number of elements, higher efficiency, broader functional capabilities, high reliability, safety of using a frequency converter, reduced weight, overall dimensions and cost of the electrical frequency converter.
EFFECT: high reliability and efficiency of the device during operation thereof, as well as broader functional capabilities; proposed frequency converter allows improving device safety during operation, simplifying device design, simplifying installation and operation, reducing weight, dimensions and cost.
