SUBSTANCE: invention relates to static frequency converters with double conversion of electrical energy. The device also provides automation of charging the storage capacitor, as well as maximum current protection of the device due to the repeated action of the charging circuit of the frequency converter before putting it into operation. A frequency converter is used, comprising, as a prototype, a control system, a three-phase two-half-wave semi-controlled voltage rectifier, a voltage inverter, a brake circuit, a storage capacitor, a charging resistor and a voltage sensor, moreover, a three-phase two-half-wave semi-controlled voltage rectifier is assembled on three diodes of the anode group of the connection and three thyristors of the cathode group of the connection, moreover, the input of the three-phase two-half-wave semi-controlled voltage rectifier is connected to the phases of the supply network, the positive poles of the autonomous voltage inverter, the brake circuit, the storage capacitor and the measuring positive output of the voltage sensor are connected to the positive pole of the three-phase two-half-wave semi-controlled voltage rectifier, to the negative the pole of a three-phase two-half-wave semi-controlled voltage rectifier is connected to the negative poles of an autonomous voltage inverter, a brake circuit, a storage capacitor, and the measuring negative output of the voltage sensor, the information outputs of which are connected to the control system, unlike the prototype, comprises a single-pole circuit breaker, which is connected to the anode with its first output any thyristor of a three-phase two-half-wave semi-controlled voltage rectifier, and the second output through a charging resistor is connected to the positive pole of a three-phase two-half-wave semi-controlled voltage rectifier.
