SUBSTANCE: motion detection system (100) includes a sensor (106) which is capable of detecting a movement pattern made by a user, as well as a control device (108) capable of receiving movement data representative of the detected movement pattern. The control device (108) is further capable of comparing the detected movement pattern data with movement pattern data representative of a predetermined movement pattern and determining a coherence parameter representative of the coherence between the detected and the predetermined movement pattern. The control device (108) controls a feedback device (110) for providing feedback to the user based on the determined coherence parameter.
EFFECT: high accuracy of comparing movement of a user with a predetermined movement pattern.
