DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR SEVERITY OF KNEE JOINT OSTEOARTHROSIS Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC G01N33/68 G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2530631 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: technique refers to medicine, namely to laboratory diagnostic techniques in rheumatology and is used for diagnosing a severity of the knee joint osteoarthrosis. Substance of the method: cartilage glycoprotein values are ranged and integrated at various stages of the disease; a severity of the knee joint osteoarthrosis is determined by comparing the derived cartilage glycoprotein values to its standard. If the cartilage glycoprotein value is from 56.99 to 71.02 ng/ml, a compensated stage of the disease is diagnosed; the range within 82.86 to 93.79 ng/ml enables diagnosing a sub-compensated stage of osteoarthrosis; with the range falling within 148.92 to 211.28 ng/ml, a decompensated stage of the degenerative-dystrophic process in the knee joint is diagnosed.

EFFECT: using the technique enables specifying the severity of the knee joint osteoarthrosis that defines a therapeutic approach.
