SUBSTANCE: device comprises a control system, a stand-alone voltage inverter, a braking circuit, a storage capacitor and a three-phase active converter consisting of an output three-phase choke coil and a rectifier based on semiconductor elements; in the rectifier scheme there are also changes related to its rectifying part based on thyristors and there are changes in its inverting part based on diodes coupled in series and accordantly with transistors. The positive effect of the invention consists in the operation of the reversible electricity converter due to the introduced elements with voltage in a DC-link below the voltage level of a non-controlled rectifier, and as a consequence in the expansion of its functionalities and improved efficiency and operational reliability.

EFFECT: expansion functionalities of the reversible voltage converter an minimisation of the number of elements in the electric circuit, improved operational reliability of the device; the device has a sufficient degree of universality and may be used to develop electric frequency converters within the wide range of power for both low-voltage and high-voltage applications.
