FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: occlusal bite splint applicable for 2 months is produced in accordance with the recorded data and put onto the lower dental arch. Dental braces are fixed on the upper dental arch. The splint is ground in accordance with the change in the upper teeth position. The splint is removed, and occlusal onlays are mounted on a grinding surface of the lower side teeth, and partial braces are fixed on the lower front teeth for aligning the position thereof. The occlusal onlays are removed from the grinding surface of the lower pre-molars after the position of the lower front teeth seems to be corrected. The braces are fixed on the lower side teeth. An orthodontic arch and intermandibular elastic ligatures make the lower pre-molars contact to the upper pre-molars. The occlusal onlays are removed from the grinding surface of the lower molars, and they are brought into contact with the upper molars by means of the intermandibular ligatures.
EFFECT: by a specific therapeutic sequence, the method enables correcting a dentofacial abnormality, eliminating a dysfunction of the temporomandibular joints and a parafunction of the masseter muscles.
