FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to dentistry, namely to orthodontics, and is intended for use in treating dentofacial anomalies in patients with mandibular defence attitude. Position of the lower jaw is determined and recorded by relaxing the masticatory muscles by percutaneous electroneurostimulation and the result is confirmed by electromyography of masseter muscles. Impressions are removed, the tray separating the occlusion is made from the base plastic according to the obtained register and applied on the lower dental arch. Tray is used for 2 months to adapt chewing musculature to a new position of the lower jaw. Impressions are made for making and fixing occlusal patches on molars of upper and lower jaws with occlusal plane leveling. Impressions are taken from upper and lower jaws for fabrication of elastopositioners. Upper and lower teeth are leveled using elastopositioners and bringing premolars into contact. Occlusal patches are ground with molars and resurfaces are obtained from the upper and lower jaws for making new elastopositioners. Molars are brought into contact using elastopositioners.

EFFECT: method enables eliminating the mandibular defence attitude, temporomandibular joint dysfunction and parafunction of chewing muscles, preventing the development of temporomandibular joint arthrosis.
