FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: device (1) for preparation of a beverage based on interaction between a coffee extract and an extraction liquid contains an opening-and-closing chamber (50) for receipt and accommodation of a certain quantity of beverage extract and a heating/cooling means (30) for setting the extraction liquid temperature positioned upstream relative to the chamber (50); the beverage preparation process may be implemented with the extraction liquid being exactly at the temperature required. During the heating or cooling phases of the heating/cooling means (30) the extraction liquid is transported into a position other than the chamber (50) where the beverage preparation process presumably takes place. For determination of a suitable path for the extraction liquid in each possible situation a valve means (60) is used that is switchable under the impact of change in the extraction liquid flow rate.
EFFECT: increased convenience.
