FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly to production of steel in oxygen-blown vessel. Method comprises loading a converter charge comprising molten iron and scrap metal blowing oxygen through a tuyere, changing oxygen flow rate during purge, input of measuring lance for measuring temperature of metal and carbon content, for finishing melting temperature and carbon content. During purge effluent gas composition was measured, measuring point input is determined to reduce lance content in exhaust gases of carbon monoxide with at least 1 % per second and increase oxygen content in exhaust gases at a rate not less than 0.3 % per second and implementing input when you stop blowing oxygen melt. Metal purge oxygen was started at position of lance above metal bath level of 2.8-2.2 m with a melt-blowing intensity of 1,100-1,200 m3/min, then after using up oxygen in an amount 15-17.5 thousand m3 lance is lowered below level of 2.2 to 1.6 m, and intensity of blowing oxygen molten adjusted 1,200-1,300 m3/min.
EFFECT: invention reduces loss of iron from slag and reduces oxygen consumption and reduces amount of overoxidised melts.
