FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fuel heat source for use in smoking product, and to smoking product including said fuel heat source. Fuel heat source for smoking product contains carbon, and at least one substance enhancing combustion, which is selected from group consisting of nitrate salts of metals featured thermal decomposition temperature lower than approximately 600 °C, chlorates, peroxides, thermit materials, intermetallic materials, magnesium, zirconium, and their combinations, wherein at least one said substance enhancing combustion is present in amount of at least approximately 20 % of dry weight of combustible heat source; at that fuel heat source (4) has the first section and opposite second section, at that at least a portion (4b) of fuel heat source (4) between first section and second section is wrapped in fire-resistant wrapping (22), which is heat-conducting and/or essentially impermeable for oxygen, and after ignition of first section of fuel heat source (4) temperature of second section of fuel heat source (4) increases to first temperature, and during subsequent burning of fuel heat source (4) second section of fuel heat source (4) supports second temperature, which is lower than first temperature.

EFFECT: technical result consists in creation of fuel heat source, which produces sufficient amount of heat to create acceptable aerosol during initial puffs of heated smoking product, but not so many heat that combustion or thermal decomposition of aerosol-generating material occurred, and which is mechanically and chemically stable at ambient temperature and humidity, and which can be easily and quickly burn in yellow flame of traditional cigarette lighter.
