METHOD OF MATHEMATICAL PREDICTION OF TRICHINOSIS SEVERITY Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61B5/00 A61B5/01 G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2589656 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to infectious diseases, and can be used for prediction of severity of trichinosis. Maximum body temperature, presence of myocarditis, face oedema, pain during movement of tongue, and eosonophilia level are determined. One performs score estimation of values. Calculating linear discriminant functions (LDF) using formulae. At LDF1>LDF2, LDF3 shows mild degree of severity of trichinosis. At LDF2>LDF1, LDF3 shows moderate degree of severity of trichinosis. At LDF3>LDF1, LDF2 shows severe degree of severity of trichinosis.

EFFECT: method enables simple and precise prediction of severity of trichinosis by taking into account most significant parameters.
