FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aviation engine-building and can be used for housing certification tests for impenetrability at gas turbine engine starter rotor disc destruction. Before tests disc prototype is made, corresponding to starter rotor disc comprising rim with blades and under rim part with thinning in form of double-sided annular groove and arranged regularly through 120° additional radial grooves. Then disc prototype annular thinning is reduced to smaller value, placing disc prototype inside housing and spinning away to rotation frequency, at which destruction occurs. After disc prototype destruction successively determining levels of kinetic energy for cylindrical cross-sections, specified by corresponding concentric radii, plotting kinetic energy on radius dependency diagram and by it determining kinetic energy value for critical cross-section. Then comparing values of obtained energies values, choosing kinetic energy maximum value, by its value determining certification tests angular rotation speed, and by value of latter disc prototype under rim part thinning thickness is determined for certification tests.

EFFECT: invention allows to enable guaranteed destruction of disc at selected rotation speed with permissible level of kinetic energy by specified cylindrical cross-section.
