SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diagnostics of variable pressure oil pump components parameters degradation. Disclosed are versions of implementation for indicating of piston cooling jets system parameters degradation. Method for engine includes indication of piston cooling jets system parameters degradation in response to relationship between engine speed and oil pressure under conditions of oil pump maximum operating volume. Disclosed is engine components parameters degradation diagnostic system.
EFFECT: invention provides engine control in response to said degradation.
