SUBSTANCE: gear wheel comprises a body, a ring gear, made of plates curved along the outer profile of the tooth, and a pair of circular pads. Each tooth is formed of a single plate. The width of the plate portion on the upwind side of the gear surface is less than the width of the gear rim; This plot is located at the center of the gear, at equal distances from the two circular pads across the gear height.
