SUBSTANCE: in the method of electronic degassing the microchannel plate (MCP), the MCP is supplied with a pulsed or constant voltage and for a predetermined time the electron beam is directed from the input to the output of the MCP, and then the polarity of the supply voltage is changed between the input and output of the MCP and the electron beam is directed from the output to the Input of the MCP, after the set time, the operations are repeated until the MCP is completely degassed, with a simultaneous increase in the voltage at the MCP and the output current of the MCP to values that do not degrade the MCP parameters.

EFFECT: reducing the gas content and gas emission in microchannel plates, including in the initial along the length part of the channels to the level of requirements of new generation photoelectronic devices with a life of 15,000 hours and more, and a decreasing the time for degassing microchannel plates.
