SUBSTANCE: method of forming an air-fuel mixture for internal combustion engines (ICE) is proposed, comprising the steps of: evaporation of fuel, production of hydrogen-containing gases by fission of fuel, cooling and optimization of fuel temperature, an air preparation in parallel to a fuel preparation, forming a fuel-air mixture by mixing fuel containing hydrocarbon gases, with air, with an air excess coefficient ca.ex.≥3, the enrichment of the fuel-air mixture to the required air excess coefficient ca.ex.=1.0 to 2.8, correction of the enriched mixture, control of the power modes of the ICE by changing the air excess coefficient along with a change in the value of the filling coefficient of the cylinders.
EFFECT: increasing the compression ratio, improving the economy and environmental friendliness of ICE, the possibility of using different types of fuel.
