METHOD FOR COMBINED RADIATION MECHANICAL INJURY SIMULATION WITH POSSIBILITY TO APPLY TACTICS OF MULTI-STAGE SURGICAL TREATMENT Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2628655 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: to simulate a combined radiation mechanical injury, animals are exposed to whole-body homogeneous irradiation in a dose that invokes development of moderate acute radiation sickness. Then, a mechanical injury is caused - grade IV liver damage according to the international AAST classification with continuing intraabdominal bleeding and blood loss of 40% of the circulating blood volume with the development of a clinical pattern of degree III traumatic shock, burdened with symptoms of primary reaction to irradiation. Bleeding is stopped by wound tamponade by gauze napkins. The operation is complete by intravenous injection of physiological solution in a volume equal to the blood loss. The day after, the operation is repeated, tampons are removed, hemostasis is controlled, the wound is sutured by layers.

EFFECT: possibility to evaluate the syndrome of mutual complication of combined radiation injuries and the effectiveness of surgical treatment using multi-stage tactics of surgical treatment.
