FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pathological physiology, radiobiology, surgery and resuscitation. Sheep are exposed to short-term uniform exposure to ionizing radiation in dose of 2.5 Gy. One hour later, a liver injury is performed within an edge of a square lobe; the injury size is 1.5×5.0×1.0 cm. In 30 minutes, relaparoscopy is performed, and hemostasis in the wound area is assessed. Blood is taken from the femoral artery in amount of 15% of the total blood volume; the taken blood is injected into the abdominal cavity. Volume of liquid part of evacuated blood is replenished by intravenous introduction of 0.9% sodium chloride solution equal to taken volume. Animals undergo non-operative hemostasis or laparotomy with suturing the liver wound with a U-suture; the observation period is 45 days.
EFFECT: method enables to reproduce a model adequate to the combined injury with the stopped haemorrhage from the liver injury with background of mild blood loss and conditions for surgical or non-surgical treatment, reducing the severity of the intraoperative injury due to successive exposure of the body to damaging radiation and nonradiation factors.
