FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: gear wheel comprises a body, a gear ring with hollow teeth, each of which is made of a pair of rectangular plates bent along the profile of working sections of tooth side surfaces calculated for said wheel, and a pair of ring linings secured on the ends of wheel body between which teeth of the gear ring. The thickness of the plates along the teeth height is variable increasing from the minimum on the line of the initial gear rim circumference in the sides of the vertices of circumferences and bases of the gear ring. This increase is directly proportional to the increase in the sliding speeds on the side surfaces of the teeth in these directions; the increase in thickness is made inside the tooth spaces.
EFFECT: optimised design of the gear wheel teeth, reduced production costs.
