SUBSTANCE: method of video decoding is proposed. The method comprises the step of initiating a parsing of the current picture first slice header. Then, according to the method, it is determined which steps performed by the decoded picture buffer (DPB) will be based on the picture, and which steps will be based on the access unit (AU). The picture data is removed from the DPB and the picture is output from the DPB.
EFFECT: provided flexibility of storing and deleting picture data from the decoded picture buffer based on a single picture or on the basis of an access unit.
