FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, surgical hepatology, and can be used to determine indications for radiofrequency thermoablation (RTA) in synchronous multiple bilobar metastases of colorectal cancer (CRC) in the liver. Maximum diameters of all metastases in the liver and their number are measured. Based on obtained data, sum of maximum metastasis diameters are calculated by the number of metastatic foci, determining metastatic liver damage index (MLDI). If MLDI value is less than 41, risk of disease progression is predicted to be low and RTA of synchronous multiple bilobar metastases to liver is considered to be indicated. With MLDI value more than 56 high risk of disease progression is predicted and RTA is considered not to be indicated.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to identify feasibility of RTA with high accuracy by estimating maximum diameters of all metastases in the liver and their number.
