FIELD: biochemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining low-silica high-purity vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) from a mixed solution containing vanadium, chromium and silicon. Method includes the following steps: first, silicon is removed from solution containing vanadium, chromium and silicon by means of amphoteric metal salt and/or alkali metal salt, then other impurities are removed by adjusting pH value, and solid and liquid are separated. Main part of vanadium is selectively extracted into organic phase using extraction system containing a primary amine. Organic phase is washed with alkali solution containing ammonium salt, and ammonium metavanadate is precipitated. Aqueous phase is filtered or centrifuged to produce solid, high purity ammonium metavanadate, and after calcination and drying, calcination to obtain brick-red substance, V2O5 with purity of more than 99.9 % and a silicon content of less than 0.007 %. In extraction-washing process no intermediate layers are formed.

EFFECT: technical result is increase of purity of the product.
