SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to the field of determination of homogeneity of dispersed materials and can be used in powder metallurgy, in self-propagating high-temperature synthesis, in materials science and in analytical chemistry. Method for determining the indices of homogeneity of dispersed material by the spectral method includes selection and manufacturing of an analytical sample, excitation and registration of an analytical signal, determination of statistical indices of the scatter of an analytical signal for different local zones of each analytical sample as homogeneity indices. In addition, as homogeneity indices, the scale boundaries of the area of homogeneous behavior R1 and the area of the microinhomogeneous behavior R2 of the analytical signal are determined, and the statistical indices of the scatter of the analytical signal are determined separately for each of the scale areas of the analytic signal they divide. Method for determining the scale boundaries of the homogeneity of a dispersed material by the spectral method is that the analytical signal is recorded when the size of their excitation area is changed in an analytic volume, the dependence of the intensity of the analytical signal on the size of the excitation area is obtained, and the position of the boundary R1 of the area of homogeneous behavior of the analytical signal and the boundary R2 of the area of the microinhomogeneous behavior of the analytic signal is judged by the inflections on the curve of this dependence in accordance with the conditions determined from the given relations for the areas of homogeneous, microinhomogeneous and inhomogeneous behavior of the analytic signal.
EFFECT: technical result: expansion of the range of homogeneity indices, which increases the accuracy and reliability of determination of the homogeneity of powder mixture.
