FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: viral load (VL) of HHV-6 DNA is determined by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in the scraping of the oropharyngeal epithelium in a child before the start of therapy, then one and three months after the start of treatment, and with a VL decrease through the indicated time intervals by 2 log10 and more, high effectiveness of therapy is concluded; with a VL decrease by 1 log10 - moderate effectiveness of therapy is concluded.
EFFECT: objectivity, increased method sensitivity, non-invasiveness.
