DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR THE COMBINED INFECTION IN CHILDREN WITH ACUTE RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01N33/569 C12Q1/686

Abstract RU 2706126 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is intended for diagnosing the activity of the combined infection in children with acute respiratory infections. In children with idiopathic leukopenia and febrile convulsions in blood, presence, activity and serotype of herpes virus of type 6, its quantitative characteristics are detected, immunoglobulins IgM, IgG of class are detected, avidity of immunoglobulins IgG of class is determined. If HHV-6 DNA is present in an amount of not less than 104 copies/ml, genotype A, IgM, IgG antibodies with avidity index less than 40 % diagnose active infectious herpes-virus process.

EFFECT: invention provides higher accuracy of diagnosing ensured by complex sequential virological diagnosis with assessment of activity of HHV-6, its genotype and its involvement in development and severity of disease.
