FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to paediatrics and infectious diseases, and can be used for prediction of clinical course of human herpes virus type 6 in children. That is ensured by detecting the virus DNA in the blood, and then in the children under age of 4 years, polymorphism Mx1: -123 C>A is determined, and in children aged 4 years and older polymorphism CCR5: -2,554 G>T is determined. If observing a heterozygous CA state for Mx1: -123 C>A and a homozygous GG condition for CCR5: -2,554 G>T, a clinically manifested clinical course of the infection is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides determining the need for antiviral therapy depending on the prediction of clinical course of herpes-viral infection – HHV-6.
