SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely, oncology, and can be used in order to determine the metastatic potential of invasive breast cancer. For this purpose, the degree of severity of the following signs of the change in the desmoplastic stroma is assessed using preparations that are prepared for morphological examination of the surgical material of the mammary gland suffering from the invasive protocol cancer: collagen fiber bundles separation and their decay; presence of the areas with the change in the physico-chemical properties of collagen fibers; increase in the content of neutral glycoproteins in the areas of destruction of collagen fibers; decrease in the content of sulfated glycosaminoglycans in the desmoplastic stroma; severity of infiltration with lympho-histiocytic elements; edema of the extracellular matrix in the infiltration zone. Absence of each of the above mentioned characteristics is estimated by zero points, insignificant, moderate and pronounced manifestation of each of these characteristics is assessed by one, three and seven points, respectively. Then the points are summarized the according to all the above mentioned characteristics and when the sum of points reaches 15 and higher, the conclusion is made about the high metastatic potential, and if the sum of points is 14 or less, the conclusion is made about the low metastatic potential of the breast Ifor for this patient. Sensitivity of the presented method makes 0.857, the specificity is 0.769, and the accuracy of the method is 0.788.

EFFECT: invention provides for the possibility of determining the metastatic potential of this type of tumor, which is important for selecting the further tactics of treating patients.
