SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. Invention is a method for selecting Jabe Kazakh horses for selection process, including the assessment of animals by type and origin, according to live weight and body measurements – height at the withers, oblique length of the trunk, girth of the chest, girth of the pastern, according to the exterior and milkability of the mares, where the preliminary assessment of animals is carried out at 6 months of age, fillies with a live weight of at least 170 kg and stallions with a live weight of 175 kg with body parameters (height at the withers, oblique length of the trunk, chest girth, girth of the pastern) of at least 115.0:110.0:121.0:15.0 cm for fillies and 117.0:112.0:124.0:15.5 cm for stallions, respectively, are selected, secondary selection of animals is carried out at 1.5 years, while fillies are selected with a live weight of at least 280 kg, and stallions with a live weight of at least 290 kg with body parameters of at least 127.0:127.0:148.0:16.0 cm for fillies and 130.0:130.0:150.0:17.0 cm for stallions, tertiary selection of animals is carried out at 2.5 years, while fillies are selected with a live weight of at least 350 kg, and stallions with a live weight of at least 365 kg with body parameters of at least 137.0:138.0:160.0:17.0 cm for fillies and 140.0:140.0:165.0:18.0 cm for stallions, first lactation mares of with live weight of at least 430 kg are finally selected with body parameters of at least 142.0:148.0:178.0:18.5 cm with cup-shaped udder, with flat teats directed vertically downwards and with a length of 2.5 to 5.5 cm, with a daily milk yield in the third month of lactation of at least 7.1 kg, and stallions with live weight of at least 450 kg with body parameters of at least 144.0:150.0:180.0:19.5 cm.
EFFECT: use of the invention will increase the size of breeding animals.
