FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry and molecular genetic diagnosis, namely to a method for detecting a predisposition to developing a panic disorder in a subject. Present method involves the joint detection of complex genotypes in the genes SLC6A4, HTR1A, CCKAR. According to this method, the diagnostic sign of predisposition to the development of panic disorder is the presence of a combination of single nucleotide substitutions of rs6295:C in the HTR1A gene and rs3813034:CC in the SLC6A4 gene or the presence of a combination of single nucleotide substitutions of rs1799723:A and rs1800908:T in the CCKAR gene.
EFFECT: present invention allows one to predict a high risk of panic disorder in subjects.
