METHOD FOR EVALUATION OF THE VOLUME OF PULMONARY PERFUSION DISORDERS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B6/03

Abstract RU 2653994 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to clinical cardiology, and can be used in the quantification of pulmonary perfusion disorders. One-photon emission computed tomography (OECT) and low-dose x-ray computed tomography (CT) of the thorax are used for this purpose. Obtained CT data is used to calculate the anatomical volume of the lungs, and the OECT data is used to calculate the volume of the perfused part of the lungs. Volume of the perfusion defect of the lung, expressed as a percentage of the total lung volume, is calculated by the formula , where V%d – the volume of the perfusion defect of the lungs, VlCT – volume of lungs according to CT, VlSPECT – the volume of the perfused part of the lungs according to the OECT. For values of V%d from 0 to 10 % the result of the study is interpreted as the norm. At 11 % < V%d < 20 % the result of the study is interpreted as moderate violations of lung perfusion. For values of V%d > 21 % – is interpreted as pronounced pulmonary perfusion disorders.

EFFECT: method provides the most accurate quantitative assessment of pulmonary perfusion abnormalities, which allows, among other things, to track the dynamics during various types of therapy.
