FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of research of devices on tightness. Essence: the product is placed in a vacuum chamber with a leak detector connected to it. Vacuum chamber is being vacuumed. Reference sample gas flow is fed into the vacuum chamber. Increment of the partial pressure of the test gas in the vacuum chamber is measured from the sample gas feed to the vacuum chamber. Partial pressure of the test gas in the vacuum chamber is measured. In the required number of stages, the product is charged with a mixture of test gas with air to a specified test pressure. After the refueling stages, the products are restrained to establish the thermal equilibrium of the product with the environment. When the desired test pressure is reached in the product, the partial pressure of the test gas in the vacuum chamber is repeatedly measured. At the same time, at each of the stages of filling the product, a reference sample gas flow is supplied to the vacuum chamber. Increment of the partial pressure of the test gas in the vacuum chamber is measured from the sample gas feed to the vacuum chamber. Partial pressure of the test gas in the vacuum chamber is measured before and after the end of each filling step. Increment of leakage of the article at each stage of filling is calculated based on the measured increments of the partial pressure of the test gas in the vacuum chamber at each stage of the charge and from the sample gas flow to the vacuum chamber. Calculated increments in the leakage of the product are summarized at each stage of its refueling. At the same time, when the specified test pressure in the product reaches the last stage of filling, the exposure to the establishment of the thermal equilibrium of the product with the environment is not made. Degree of leakage of the test article is judged by the value of the sum of the calculated increments in the leakage of the article at each stage of its refueling.
EFFECT: technical result: increasing the accuracy of determining the total hermeticity of the product.
